A Slice of Manhattan in Bali
What's so great about Bali that we can't stop talking about it? Well, the fact that its nightlife has a lot of things to offer is one of the things we love about Bali. Bali has hundreds if not thousands of nightlife venues of different types: from laidback beach bars to opulent nightclubs of any kinds of music genres.
Bali also has a lot of hidden gems: 40 Thieves is one of its newest addition to the list of bars we love in Bali.
Set in the busy hipster area Petitenget, 40 Thieves, as it proudly says on its social media pages, is a "New-York-style speakeasy bar focusing on craft cocktails & artisanal spirits accompanied with genuine flamboyant hospitality to provide you a true cocktail experience in Bali".
The setting is definitely inspired by the industrial-glam era somewhat inspired by the Great Gatsby's New York chic: brass and bare concrete meet together, creating a warm glow of copper-and-rose-gold colored hues - alongside the walls, chesterfield sofas strewn around in front of a classic New-York-style bar - the owner is totally detail-oriented it seems, since even the glasswares used to serve the bar's classic cocktails match the overall feeling of Manhattan.
Further info about 40 Thieves
40 Thieves hosts parties every week with local indie DJs - the music is mostly house and chill-out, the crowd attending is more sophisticated than most other places in Petitenget and around.
What we love most: the ambience and the cocktails - it's speakeasy so you can still speak over the music and enjoy your night out making new acquaintances in Bali.
