Restaurant Review - Orient 8 at Mulia Hotel (Jakarta)
on Sat 28 Jul 2018
Best French Sunday Brunch in Jakarta
We love Orient 8 not only because it's so gorgeous, but also because it serves the best French food in J-Town. The restaurant's official page at Mulia says it's French and Pan-Asian, but anyway, in today's France, the Asian cuisine is pretty much an integrated part of any metropolitan city anyway.
So! What we love about Orient 8 - its classic decor with sumptuous dining areas as well as private rooms, on par with Mulia Group's high standards. The whole place breathes a Napoleon-meets-Antoinette-in-the-21st century, with pictures of quirky French and Asian historic personnages in a cute twist (Napoleon with sunglasses, Marie Antoinette eating ramen).
The Food, the Feast! So Frenchie!
We mostly come to Orient 8 for a Sunday brunch, which starts at 11 AM to end at 2:30 PM - plenty of time to indulge yourself with a glass (or five) of bubbles and a feast of French deliciousness. Foie gras, gratins, French cheese choices, and a dessert table full of French traditional gateaux. It's a true pleasure that every French living in Jakarta must (at least, once) taste.
See you next Sunday at Orient 8!
